Ways we can work together
Private and group coaching for retired women who want to show up and shine.
Integrate the pieces of who you have become with the wisdom and beauty of age.
So many of us begin our retirement with a long list of things we want to do: relax, volunteer, spend more time with family and friends, travel, develop a new hobby, or dust off an activity that used to bring us joy. We have all this newfound freedom and we know we have more to give — we still want to contribute and add value to the world.
But when we actually volunteer, or take an art class, or spend more time with the grandchildren, or care for our own parents, we discover that these activities are sometimes not as meaningful as we imagined they would be. Certainly, they are enjoyable in the moment, but they might not give us the deep fulfillment that we hoped we would experience in retirement.
And so we get stuck in the sameness of what we know — the routines, friends, and responsibilities that are comfortable and familiar.
It is hard, especially in retirement, to explore new things. It takes energy and creativity to step out into world in a different way.
Why is it so difficult?
In our professional lives we had structure and a routine; we knew what we had to do to be successful in our careers. Now that we are comfortable and no longer need to work for pay, we need to take the time to re-discover what motivates us to learn and grow and develop new habits. We need new definitions of success, meaning, and fulfillment.
But exploring these topics on our own can be isolating. Just as we needed colleagues for support and inspiration, we now need peers — like-minded, light-hearted retirees who are motivated to explore what passion, play and purpose looks like in this season of 60+.
So what exactly is retirement coaching?
Retirement coaching gives you the time and space to think about what you want at this stage of your life and offers the support to take the steps to map a retirement that truly excites you. We don’t start from scratch — you have likely already had an incredibly rich and adventurous life. We’ll tap into those experiences to explore what would bring you a sense of joy and purpose now.
As a trained coach and a retiree, I know the challenges that retirement can bring. I also have a deep trust in the coaching process and its ability to help you create the meaningful retirement you desire.
